📊 Pro-Rata Billing on Early Redemption
If you redeem your gold or take physical delivery before a billing period ends, you are only charged for the days your metal was in vault — never the full period. The minimum fee still applies.
Fee = max( fullPeriodFee × (daysHeld ÷ 90), $25 minimum )
Example: Vault value $20,000 · quarterly fee $37.50 · redeemed on day 45 of 90. Pro-rated fee = $37.50 × (45/90) = $18.75 → charged $25.00 (minimum applies).

How is the storage fee calculated?
Your fee is 0.75% per year applied to the cost basis (purchase price) of your stored metal. This is divided into quarterly periods of 0.1875% each, with a $25 minimum per period.
When am I billed?
Billing runs quarterly from your storage start date. You'll receive an email statement 7 days before each billing date. Payment is processed via ACH on file.
What happens if I redeem early?
We pro-rate the fee down to the exact day your metal left vault. You are never charged for days your gold wasn't stored. The $25 minimum still applies to any partial period.
Are there any other fees?
No account opening fees, no transfer-in fees, no administration fees. The only additional charge is insured shipping if you elect physical delivery — carrier and insurance rates are quoted at the time of request.
Is my gold insured?
Yes. All metal held at IDS Dallas and Vaultify HOU is fully insured. Coverage details and facility information are provided in your custody agreement at account opening.

Create a SQOOT Pure client account, complete the IDS custody forms, and contact us at
hello@sqoot.us. Our team sets up your vault entry and confirms your first billing date within 1 business day.
